Chartwell was a place that truly inspired Sir Winston Churchill. Bought by him in 1922, the house is still much as it was when the family lived there- pictures, books and personal momentoes evoking the career and wide ranging interests of this influential family. The studio is home to the largest single collection of Churchill's paintings. Chartwell's gardens include the lakes he created, the kitchen garden and the Marycot.
