Barry Island has attracted visitors since the 1870’s and the appeal of it’s golden beaches, cafes and family amusements is stronger than ever. There is also an RNLI Visitor Centre, the Barry tourist Railway and Barry War Museum. Porthcawl is a traditional seaside resort overlooking the Bristol Channel. With its level promenade, stunning blue flag beach, funfair and a host of seaside attractions, shops and cafes, it is a resort often overlooked, but none the less a popular destination.
