Enjoy free time in Bury St Edmunds, a beautiful town with 1000 years of history, presided over by St Edmundsbury Cathedral and elegant yellow brick houses line the regular pattern of streets, complemented by the Abbey Gardens. We head to the guildhall to enjoy a tour of the Operations Room, where you will learn about the way the Royal Observer Corps plotted and observed enemy aircraft from odservers in Norfolk and Suffolk to help coordinate the RAF missions. We enjoy cream tea before heading home.
