We enjoy free time in the city of Gloucester, the cathedral city of the Cotswolds, where you can explore over 2000 years of history. Perhaps visit the cathedral, resting place of King Edward II, or one of several museums, or browse the many major stores and independent retailers. In the afternoon we travel to Norchard, to board the Dean Forest Railway for an 8-mile return journey through delightful medieval forest scenery. There is also a small museum at Norchard Station.
